The Stables, a rural cottage in West Bradley, Somerset
A week’s stay in this pretty cottage - the original stables of a recently renovated farmhouse close to the historic city of Bath.
The county of Somerset in the West Country is composed of some of the most beautiful scenery in England. The Quantock Hills and the limestone of the Mendips are particularly lovely, with Exmoor holding a special wild appeal that is typified by the animals that roam it. Rich in legend and history, Somerset has the closest associations of any English county with King Arthur, with Cadbury said to be Camelot and Glastonbury Abbey the burial place of Queen Guinevere. Famous for its cider, the county is full of thatched roofs, and picture-postcard scenes, and is the perfect location for exploring the West Country in detail.
